This document outlines the scope of work for my compay to conduct a comprehensive review of Ecommerce company's network architecture. The objective is to assess the current network design, connectivity, data security in transit, locations, capacity planning, and disaster recovery (DR) capabilities, and provide recommendations to enhance performance, reliability, and security.
Objectives
Evaluate the current network architecture against industry best practices.
Assess connectivity and data security in transit.
Review network locations and capacity planning.
Evaluate disaster recovery (DR) capabilities.
Provide actionable recommendations to improve network performance, scalability, and security.
Information Gathering
Conduct interviews with key stakeholders to understand business goals and network requirements.
Review existing network documentation, including topology diagrams, configuration files, and security policies.
Perform a physical and logical inventory of network devices and components.
Analysis and Documentation
Analyze the collected data to identify design flaws, performance issues, and security vulnerabilities.
Assess connectivity and data security measures in place for data in transit.
Review network locations and capacity planning to ensure scalability and efficiency.
Evaluate current disaster recovery (DR) plans and capabilities.
Document findings and develop a detailed report outlining the current state of the network.
Findings and Recommendations
Present the findings to the stakeholders, highlighting critical issues and areas for improvement.
Provide a set of prioritized recommendations for network enhancements, including hardware upgrades, configuration changes, and security improvements.
Develop a high-level implementation plan for the recommended changes.
